The owner of the 4.5 parcels in the plaza located at the Southeast corner of Val Vista and Elliot has submitted a request to alter the zoning from Shopping Center to General Commercial. This modification aims to facilitate the redevelopment of the area, allowing for new retail establishments and self-storage facilities. Specifically, the self-storage units are proposed for the rear (Eastern) section of the plaza, where the former 24-hour fitness building stands, while new retail spaces are planned for the parking lot situated just north of the Starbucks.
