Exciting news for Downtown Chandler! George & Gather, an all-day restaurant, bar, and market, is set to open its doors in March 2025 at 336 S. Washington St. This new establishment aims to be a community hub, offering a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike.
Housed in a beautifully restored mid-century building, George & Gather draws inspiration from The Great Gatsby, featuring Art Deco-style décor with rich walnut woods, intricate tile work, and brass fixtures. The venue boasts an 80-person dining room, a 36-seat covered patio with a fireplace, and an indoor-outdoor bar, creating an inviting atmosphere for all.
The menu focuses on scratch-made dishes using clean, organic, and locally sourced ingredients, all free from seed oils. Guests can enjoy a variety of offerings throughout the day, including:
Breakfast: Chia seed pudding, carrot cake pancakes, and house-made pastries, paired with locally roasted coffee.
Lunch and Dinner: Grass-fed burgers, farm-fresh salads, and hand-tossed sourdough pizzas made from a 130-year-old starter.
Drinks: Seasonal craft cocktails and sophisticated mocktails served at the indoor-outdoor bar.
In addition to dining, George & Gather offers two private spaces suitable for events, co-working, cooking classes, and chef pop-up dinners. The on-site market provides gourmet grab-and-go options, retail wine, and locally crafted goods, catering to those on the move.
Owners Amber and Mike Kovarik, longtime Chandler residents, are excited to bring this new concept to the community. Amber states, “Food is my love language, and I’m so excited to bring a vibey hangout spot serving food made with clean ingredients to the city I’ve lived and worked in for almost 20 years. I believe our community is craving a place like this.”
