Sweet news for Downtown Gilbert! Allora Handcrafted Gelato is expanding from Scottsdale and opening a brand-new location in the Collab Building, taking over the former State Forty Eight space. Known for its authentic Italian-style recipes and slow-churned perfection, Allora is set to bring a new kind of sweetness to the heart of Gilbert.

Allora’s first location in Scottsdale has built a loyal following, earning an impressive 4.9-star rating on Google thanks to its creamy, small-batch creations made with real ingredients — no artificial flavors or colors. Every scoop is handcrafted with care, offering a rich and silky texture that sets it apart from traditional ice cream.

Visitors can expect an ever-changing rotation of flavors like Sicilian Pistachio, Mango Sticky Rice, and Dulce de Leche Pecan, along with house-baked gluten-free waffle cones and dairy-free options that ensure everyone can enjoy a taste of Italy.

Allora won’t be opening alone — they’ll be right next door to Light Heart Coffee, another highly anticipated local concept currently under construction inside the Collab Building. Together, the two will bring a perfect pairing of coffee and gelato to Downtown Gilbert, adding even more buzz to one of the Valley’s most popular dining and shopping destinations.

Before the transition, there’s still a little time to stop by State Forty Eight, which will close its Downtown Gilbert store on November 16th. Everything in the store is currently 48% off before they officially hand over the space.
