The LPGA has welcomed Ford Motor Company as the prestigious title sponsor for its upcoming tournament in Arizona, now known as the Ford Championship. This event is scheduled to take place from March 28-31 at the Seville Country Club in Gilbert, AZ. Although the LPGA has made numerous trips to Arizona over its 74-year history, this is the first instance since 2021, when the Founders Cup relocated to New Jersey, that a tournament in Arizona has secured a title sponsor. This marks the first occasion for the town of Gilbert to host a significant golf event.

Securing Ford as the title sponsor signifies another significant advancement for the LPGA in its financial growth. Last year, the total purses competed for by tour members amounted to $108 million, with this year’s total increasing to $118 million.

The competition will showcase 144 of the world’s premier golfers competing for a total prize fund of $2 million.

“We know we’ll be fully embraced by the Gilbert community,” LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan said.

“This is truly a global tour,” Marcoux Samaan said. “If fans come out, they’re going to see the best of the best and they’re going to see great competition on an amazing golf course.”
